Hi everyone,
Hope the middle of the week finds you as okay as possible through it all. We also hope you’ve had some time to spend with We Do This Til We Free Us.
We are *thrilled* to announce the full line-up of our event this Monday. In addition to Tamara K. Nopper, editor of We Do This Til We Free Us, we are excited to present our own Terisa Siagatonu - a tremendous artist and activist who will open our event with poetry and remarks - as well as Eddy Zheng, a PIC abolitionist activist who was incarcerated for 21 years. It’s going to be a great convening of minds and perspectives and we hope you can make it! HUGE thanks to Shiso LLC (our own Aerica Shimizu Banks) for making this event possible, and to all of you for your enthusiasm and suggestions for featured speakers.
Details are below, and we’ll send a reminder before the event. We’ll also start a channel on Discord for questions we may have of our speakers to inform the program. If you’re not on Discord, feel free to write back directly to this email!
